Get ready...get set...go???

Now, if I want to utilize my green house, especially through the winter, do I buy seeds and use little starter pots? Do I start them in the little pots in the greenhouse, the heated one, or do I start them in the house and move them out to plant them in the beds? Is it realistic to keep producing through the winter? Just wondering... Does anyone have any advice?

Tomato Woes :(

Checking in today with reflections on my progress thus far... Last summer I planted tomatoes of various types. Interestingly, had many small yellow pear tomatoes but the rest were a bust. My question is how do I better allow pollination in the greenhouse? Do I take the screens off the windows and leave it that way? I hesitate as I do not want to draw undesirables in as well. Anyone have any thoughts out there??

Calling on All Sages in Gardening!! LOL

Now, that I've seen how this looks, I must say...this is cool. So here is the part where I seek out new information. If this subject interests you and you have any tid bit or wonderful pearl of wisdom you would like to add to the blog...Please Do!!

And so we begin...

Well.. this is where I start my brand new adventure in blogging my experiences learning to garden in a greenhouse. I would love to say I have a green thumb, but alas, I fear, 'tis not innate to my being as of yet. Even so we have two greenhouses on our property, one which can be heated all year and one which is more seasonal. I live at about 7600 elevation in the mountains in what is classified as mostly high desert. Both green houses have raised beds, much to the relief of my easily aching back! I have now tried planting for two seasons and have had some but not great success so far.

So here is where I shall begin blogging my experiences be they good or bad or really bad!!
